From Kapi to mocha frappacino and back

Even though the title refers to cuppa joe, it goes beyond that, an ode to the taste palate. Now that I am awake and sleep deficiency is near normal conditions I gather my focus onto the next part i.e. food. If it looks good, smells good, has great texture, and the sizzle of onions still pervades the air and it tastes wonderful, then life is inevitably great. Somehow food catches all the senses and pleases them, be it a fancy italian or comfort food from the formation years.

For years (decades) I had bias towards indian food, how it was the best and all. I don't know when the rebellion inside me began and questioned my thought process as to what made it great and why every food show isnt boasting of indian cuisine. That led to discovery of other flavors starting from the southeast thai, chinese, mexican, italian, and american. Even though I might not be able to distinguish all the flavors and authenticity of all the flavors from other nations suffice it to say now I have developed appreciation for my taste buds and shall constantly strive to keep them happy and satisfied.

There are still commonalities despite the geographic distance how mexican and indian food like tortilla and roti are close. Mediterranean spread is so similar to indian chutney.

Did fast food kill the flavors and replace it with fat? Is eating in a hurry a crime against the chef and the ingredients? There should be a kiss the chef day to commemorate great chefs and the service they do which goes underappreciated meal after meal.

All this food talk is making me hungry. So long anad thank you for the fish - see what I mean.
