Teachers paradox

The school has taken upon itself or the responsibility is thrust on them to educate the population in there single digit age or there abouts.

The teachers could spend their time teaching the half interested pupils or exorcise the deep seated curiosity of the few and take their knowledge level up and beyond expectation. But that would mean the so called lower in the grades will loose further interest and fare poorly in exams. Is this unfair to the teachers to expect them to perform miracles and still be accountable to the school board about performance and funding.

And to add to this the compensation is probably not the greatest anywhere in the world. In a way they can see their success reflected in the students' success, but that may not be good enough to pay the bills.
